The Space Coast Seafarers is a ministry of the Brevard Baptist Association. There is also an Advisory Committee that assists the director in working through issues that affect the Ministry and staying on track with the Ministry's vision and purpose. The Advisory Committee is comprised of Ministry staff, the director of the Brevard Baptist Association, local pastors and lay people who volunteer at the Ministry.
Director: Rev Mark Wodka
Born in Passiac, NJ, but raised in Florida.
Graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelors of Science in Biology 1986, University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health with a Masters of Science in Public Health 1988, and Southwestern Seminary, Fort Worth TX – M.Div. degree, 2003.
Married to Jeanie and has 2 sons: David and Paul.
Worked with the Florida Department of Health as a health inspector and manager for 11 years and as a Community Development Consultant in Indonesia for 6 years.

Discipleship and Training Chaplain: Dr. Richard Buccio
Born in Massachusetts and grew up in the New England area.
Graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1980 with Bachelors of Science, Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in 2001 with a Master of Divinity degree, and Baptist Bible Seminary in 2013 with a Doctor of Ministry degree.
After working in the aviation industry for 18 years Richard pastored 14 years in New York at Hyde Park Baptist Church. While there he had opportunities to teach other pastors in the Philippines, Ukraine, Peru, and Russia on various topics including evangelism, different books of the Bible and leadership.
He has been married to Darlene since 1981 and they have 1 daughter and 8 sons. They also have two grandchildren and one on the way. Richard has been involved with our ministry since November 2013.
Chaplain: Steven McCrorie
Steve was born in Pennsylvania and has lived in Florida since 2000. He is married to Patti, their blended family consists of 1 daughter and 4 sons: Andrea, Adam, Richard, Michael, and Eric. He
graduated Summa Cum Laude from Liberty University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion, and cognate in Evangelism. His professional career of 38 years in health care as a respiratory therapist included a broad spectrum of departmental roles within general and specialty hospitals. As an entrepreneur, he founded, developed, and managed multiple independent pulmonary laboratories. He was a member of CrossLife Church in Oviedo for several years, serving in various ministries and leading a small group. In 2017 he was commissioned to evangelism by CrossLife and was led to Canaveral Port Ministry where he and Patti serve as volunteers. Steve joined the ministry staff as a chaplain in May 2018.
Chaplain: Josh Palmer
Josh was born and raised in Toccoa, GA and graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministries in 2012. He then went on to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and will receive his M. Div. degree in 2019.
He worked in church planting in South Florida 2015-2018, and has been married to Alisa Palmer since 2015.
Chaplain's Assistant: Jeanie Wodka
Born in Honduras and raised in Panama and Maryland.
Graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelors of Psychology.
Married to Mark and they have 2 sons: David and Paul.
Jeanie does cruise ship visitations and enjoys conversing with seafarers.
Development Director: Carolyn Bowers
Born and grew up in Miami, FL.
Graduated from Charron Williams College with a Legal Secretary/Para-Legal degree.
Married to Ren, they have 5 children: Michelle, Rachel, Nikki, Philip, and Ashley; and one grandson: Andre.
Administrative Coordinator: Andria Runyon
Born in Columbus, MS
Studied Business Administration at East Mississippi Community College and served at Cru from December 2015 - March 2018.
She has been married to Jon Runyon since 2005. They have 3 children, 3 dogs, & 1 cat.
