Blessings from MSC Meraviglia

Blessing from MSC Meraviglia

It is so difficult to put into words the amazing blessing we received at the ministry on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, as the MSC Meraviglia made its final stop here at Port Canaveral.  It is headed to Europe and will eventually make its way to Miami later this year.

Let me say that we at CPM are called to serve the amazing men and women that work on cruise ships.  We truly want to share the love of Christ with everyone we come into contact with.  As a driver, I get to talk to a huge majority of the seafarers.  So many amazing people from all over the world come through our doors.  I felt called to serve.  The one thing I never thought of was how I have come to love each and every one of these seafarers.

Late last year the MSC Meraviglia started coming to Port Canaveral as a port of call.  It was based out of New York, and its first stop each week was here.  Over time more than 250 seafarers from this amazing ship were coming to the ministry on a regular basis, whether that was to go shopping, send money home to loved ones, receive packages, or just to relax.  We always made it a point to share the gospel with them, pray with them when needed, or to just be there if they needed someone to cry with.

Yesterday, what happened was special beyond words.  Toward the end of the day before the seafarers had to be back on the ship, one of them took the microphone and wanted to thank us for our ministry.  He then gave the gospel message to his fellow crewmates.  And then after that he asked all of us that work at CPM to gather to the middle of the room.  He then proceeded to pray for all of us, speaking words of blessing upon us.  What a moment that the Lord gave to all of us.  Who am I that You Lord gifted us with this precious time with these people.  The emotions of that time will always be in my memory of this amazing crew and why the Meraviglia will always hold a special place in my heart, and for all of us from CPM.  I looked around and saw all the people that were a part of what just took place on April 14, 2026.  People that God chose for a moment such as this.

Thank you CPM for allowing me to serve.  To the crew of the MSC Meraviglia, you will be missed.

In Christ,
